Thank you for liking and sharing, Substack peeps! I really wrote this off the top of my head. I've found, like, 10 typos, but too tired to look for more. It was a rare win-win day for the good folks.
I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. I do, however, feel very sorry for the service members who participated in that debacle. So much for honoring them. Grrrrr.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words I think this picture goes on to Infinity and the roots of pi.... 🎚️ Hang these pictures in the street Donnie diaper. Instead we got your giant head! you are a jelly filled gelatinous blob of infection it's never ends until now.
The American people handed Trump’s flatulent arse to him on a melted penny platter yesterday . No matter how the broken 4th estate and the unelected administration of grifters wants to spin this, we all saw in stark reality and juxtaposition the verdict The American people gave this sick criminal rapist felon insurrectionist.
Resisters reserved bleacher tickets to keep them empty.
Airport was shut down hours ahead of time, without sufficient notice, canceling and reducing flights thus increasing the attendance costs by making overnight stay necessary.
Weather… nobody wants to go to a lengthy parade in the rain.
They could have easily filled the bleacher seats with the "masses" of people who hadn't registered to attend yet still showed up.
There were no masses of people. Not there, anyway.
And we've all seen videos of his supporters braving rain, snow, broiling sun, bone-shattering cold, and a tornado watch to attend his hate rallies. A little drizzle wouldn't have stopped them.
Fair enough. Curious that his supporters were no-shows.
Also, maybe there wasn’t someone to tell people they could use the bleachers (lack of organization?) or people lounging weren’t really interested in the parade.
Based my thinking on this information, widely available in media sources.
If I would have wanted to be there I would have flown in and out within 24 hours and without staying anywhere. Cancelled flights would have changed my plans.
🇺🇸To My Beloved Grandparents: The Truth Is Still Ours to Share
First, I want to send a warm and hearty congratulations to everyone who took part in the No Kings protest yesterday. From coast to coast, grandparents, parents, and young folks alike stood shoulder to shoulder for truth, democracy, and the America we still believe in. Your voices were heard. Your peaceful presence made a powerful statement: we will not be ruled by fear, lies, or authoritarian fantasies. We’re still “We the People.” And we showed up.
But the march doesn’t end on the streets. After the No Kings protests, I had some heartfelt conversations in my own family—especially about why, in 2024, no one seemed to talk about how much the Biden Administration improved the economy after COVID; they feel this gap in information lead to Trump getting elected. That gap in coverage isn’t an accident—it’s a choice made by media outlets that don’t benefit from reporting progress. But we can help fill that gap. That’s why I want to talk honestly with you today about something that’s been weighing heavily on my heart: the difficulty of knowing what’s true anymore.
🧠
Truth is Hard to Find in Today’s Media World
Local newspapers—our once-reliable sources of community truth—have shut down across the country.
Billionaires have bought up major TV networks and national papers, deciding what gets covered—and what gets buried.
Social media algorithms reward outrage, conspiracy theories, and lies, repeating them endlessly until they feel familiar—even when they’re false.
It’s no wonder so many people feel lost, angry, or misled. Even topics like the economy, which can be measured with numbers and facts, have become battlegrounds for spin and propaganda.
I’ll be honest: the clearest picture of what’s really going on comes from the kinds of things most people don’t have time (or patience) to sort through—economic charts, job statistics, spending patterns, labor market graphs. Economists use these tools every day. But most people don’t, and that’s where the manipulators thrive.
📊
The Truth About the U.S. Economy in 2024—In Plain Language
Let’s remember what really happened:
The entire world shut down in 2020 because of COVID. Every economy crashed.
But in the years that followed, America led the global recovery.
By 2023–2024, we had:
Stronger GDP growth than any other G7 nation
Falling unemployment and rising wages in several key sectors
A powerful rebound in consumer spending that helped other economies recover too
A resilient dollar and global trust in the U.S. financial system
But many people still believe that the Biden Administration left our economy is in ruins. Why? Because they’re only hearing one version of the story—often from partisan outlets like Fox News, that only show what fits their political goals.
The truth doesn’t always make the news because it doesn’t stir anger, drive ratings, or sell ads.

A Call to My Fellow Grandparents
You and I—we remember a different time. We grew up with Walter Cronkite, with local reporters we could meet at the grocery store. We remember when the news was trusted. Today, our kids and grandkids are being misled by a media environment designed to divide and enrage, not inform.
✅ If you believe in the messages I share here, please copy and customize them for your Facebook, emails, or family chats.
✅ Add your voice. Make it personal. Tell your children and grandchildren what you have seen, what you have lived through, and what you still believe in.
✅ If you marched, tell them why. If you stayed home, tell them what you’re standing for.
This is our time to make an impact—not just in protests, but in conversations that shape the future.
Let’s keep showing up, speaking up, and lifting up the truth—because the next generation needs us now more than ever.
From the clips I’ve seen of yesterday’s parade, I think we also all owe our military an acknowledgment.
This was not an aggressive, hyper-military display for Trump. It was not what Trump and his people longed for and desired. It did not provide an opportunity for them to exploit.
It was a quiet, historical show of our military’s past, something you’d see on any lazy Saturday country road show display.
Our military celebrated our military birthday. They did not turn it into anything benefiting Trump.
Our military was not corrupted. Thank you. Sigh of relief.
Remember, Trump doesn’t make us look weak; he makes himself and only himself look weak.
June 14 - The Biggest Most Beautiful Day since Election Day!
We had two back to back No Kings protests in Grand Rapids, Michigan! The morning started with perfect weather. Not too hot or cold and plenty of sunshine. As far as I could see, multi-generational people of many complexion were standing in solidarity to let the whole world know that we want the tRump out of our White House! Just like our April 5th (but on a much larger scale) people were of course angry about our administration from hell but the celebratory feeling that comes from uniting together brought a joy to our community. Our city was filled with flag waving children even babies to proud veterans and seniors. Not a hint of racism, no MAGAt instigators and I am sure they were there but I never noticed a single police officer.
Indivisible's event was held at Ah-Nab-Awen Park along side the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum and when it was over we marched to the 50-50-1 protest at Rosa Parks Circle. That event ended with a second march that lead many of us to Calder Plaza for lunch at the Asian Pacific Festival. From there some of us attended the Three Fires Pow Wow at Riverside Park. After dark, my family also attended the Asian Lantern Festival at John Ball Zoo.
How is that for diversity Grand Rapids!? Don't let the tRump know he may arrest us all - lol!
For me, the day ended with news that there were successful No Kings Events around the world! The icing on the cake was hearing that hardly anyone showed up in DC for the tRump's military/birthday parade. That made June 14, 2025 the Bigger Most Beautiful Day since the election! Good job American for ruining the tRump's birthday!
Yep, Turns out it’s hard to pack a parade for a wannabe king when the peasants are broke, the veterans are furious, and the only ones still clapping are on payroll or under indictment. You can’t goose-step your way out of irrelevance, Donald. Happy lonely little birthday. 🎈

This was fun, as it was to watch the contrast in crowd size. And how tragic that’s a fight he even makes us care about
Very good! and funny!
They all look so …happy !

This 86yr old Canadian agrees. You got it right!!!
Well said
Thanks so much!
It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
It was puzzling that his rabid cult didn't show. Is Trump losing ground?
3 issues:
Resisters reserved bleacher tickets to keep them empty.
Airport was shut down hours ahead of time, without sufficient notice, canceling and reducing flights thus increasing the attendance costs by making overnight stay necessary.
Weather… nobody wants to go to a lengthy parade in the rain.
Resistors reserving bleachers tickets that's incredible kudos
I can’t take credit for the idea. Resisters have been doing this ever since he came down his gaudy escalator.
Try again Part II.
They could have easily filled the bleacher seats with the "masses" of people who hadn't registered to attend yet still showed up.
There were no masses of people. Not there, anyway.

I believe the people who showed up were there to support the military. As soon as the speeches started, there was an exodus to the exits.
Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks.
Or in other words, no one really wanted to show up.
Try again. Neither Washington airport was closed yesterday.

Mel is enjoying herself. 😆 😂 😆
Like she does at night when dickhead donald is away!!!
hey isn’t that his wife?
What is she doing there?
Oh I forgot that the prenup says she must make an appearance for his birthday party
She’s smirking. 😂
Even Hegseth looks humiliated
He’s probably looking for that next drink
Wouldn’t blame him
I certainly don’t mind that he does 😄
I do. We don’t need a practicing drunk on the job.
But he’s most likely a practicing alcoholic.
In A&D treatment they are called a ‘dry drunk’!
Parade big fail.
Apologies to the Army for this Trump vanity parade.

They certainly protested silently.
I absolutely agree 👍
Sad & pathetic is fitting for Trump. I feel for the military personnel who had to participate in this farce. They deserve better.
Let’s all acknowledge that the shot of the Jumbotron atop the porta-potty is priceless!
