Hey Mike, reading your substack, great stuff. Hopefully some good discourse and supportive comments and heck, a few contrarian discussions will come up!

I said in Trump 1.0, he bottomed out the expectations for cabinet but this is a doozy. I'm torn between Patel and Kennedy as the worst of the lot. Which means it's actually Tulsi or someone else knowing my handicapping of a race.

The thing that gets me is in the confirmation hearings, meetings, etc. The whole thing is a joke now, when a senate is beholden to a single person, it's a rubber stamp and no shame exists anymore so we simply are at a low water mark and maybe this ends Democracy?

It used to feel like a joke that this was idiocracy, it's not. It's truly a news bubble and people simply numb as you point out. RFK is frightening because I do think he'll double talk vaccines and we'll see things like Measles start to rise and kill people. Not this year, not next, but in 3-4 years it'll grow and by then, we'll have some children dying and people so surprised. It's like we are taking dumb pills.
