Maybe we could stop with the breathless coverage of Joe’s past cognitive decline when there’s a cognitive crazy man upending our Democracy?
I thought that yesterday with Jake Tappers book and the coverage it has garnered. Is that really to focus we need to have now? Is that book choice a capitulation from someone who I thought had credible journalistic to bend to the regime?
It’s hard not to come to that conclusion.
Bending. That’s what it is.
Jake Tapper has a quasi-successful career as a fiction author, primarily because of his media position. He has a co-author on this Biden book which I’m guessing was an 80/20 proposition with Tapper getting a little senior insight along the way.
But, why?
Was this book idea sold before Biden dropped out? Could they not get out of it?
I doubt that.
Why. Why does someone 2/3 of the way through a career, who is known to know better about the threats to this country, who is very, very likely a millionaire many times over, still put any time to this endeavor?
And to what ends? Joe Biden was not good in some meetings and staff talked about the possibility of a wheelchair in a second term given his foot issues.
That sounds like color reporting — not a book. And not at this critical time.
I’ve been a fan of Joe Biden since 1987. For 20-something years after that no one touched his integrity. He was the poorest member of the Senate and the one that everyone loved, regardless of party.
Disagree, sure. I did on some things.
But, I never thought that someone as fundamentally good as Joe Biden could be taken down.
But, then he was.
Turned into some sort of child hair-sniffing pedophile and some sort of global criminal — Crime Family — with his drug-addicted child all funneling money into something or other.
Of course none of that was true. It was all and always pushed by the Russians and Trump folks. And the US guy who was at the epicenter is now in prison.
But, whatever. It was a good run while it lasted. Joe Biden went from someone decent and good in most peoples eyes to a fucking monster to 30-something percent of this country.
And with the HEFT of not just painting that picture — but having to turn every Trump reality on it’s head before getting there. Trump good, Biden bad is one hell of a flip.
Joe Biden was a great president.
Not good, GREAT.
A better legislative record than Obama, and a much better turn on policy than Clinton.
Do this, Trump:
