We turned this Amy work trip up to 11. She visited a plant just outside Charleston while I explored. We rented a car and explored outside the city a bit before heading down to Savannah for the weekend.
One of my goals on this trip was to work on my night photography. I’ve got a decent camera, but I struggle with shutterspeeds. The night presets aren’t that great either. Some of them turned out okay, but I’m not super impressed.
We really picked a cool place in Savannah. Really one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Our first trip there. Great city. More laid back than Charleston and with an easy to figure out grid layout.
The live oaks, Spanish moss and churches really give the city a Southern Gothic vibe.
We went to dinner the last night at The Olde Pink House, which is one of the most famous restaurants in town. They put us in a wine cellar room in the basement that we had all to ourselves. Probably the coolest meal we’ve ever had.
My big photo project was attempting to do a Night & Day series. Turned out pretty good.
