BREAKING: Trump's Iran Bluster Is Looking Real
What seemed like another distraction is getting much more ominous.
A distraction of a distraction of a distraction.
Listen, it’s impossible to come to any certain conclusion to understand what is and what isn’t a distraction under a stable genius like Trump. He’s grounded to very few actual ideals or philosophies and it’s been well-documented over the years that he can be swayed by the last person in the room.
But, what sounded like typical Trump bluster just last night as Trump left the G7 meeting early is showing signs of being real.
And yes, he one thousand percent does use distraction without any real thought of the consequences. Trump has always been someone who simply wants to get through the next media cycle. And he has now had months of bad media cycles and his troop deployment is only keeping core cult happy.
Nothing has gone right for Trump since he was sworn in.
The real bluster posts hit a crescendo last night with language that in pre-Trump times would put him in a padded cell.
He’s gone even further tonight, claiming that any peace talks with Iran were fake news even though he directed them and they were actually happening. You know, in the real world.
And there’s been a shift in background reporting about how Trump may have changed his mind. Listen, I have all kinds of issues with the New York Times, but they don’t run these kind of stories unless they have multiple, well-placed sources.
Sunday night I also started seeing reports from people who follow military flights of a rather large contingent of US warplanes heading to Europe — all within striking distance of Iran.
That has stepped up, and it’s not just planes:
I assume our allies still know more than the general public. But even if we’re keeping them in the dark, something is making them worried. Here is French President Macron within the last few hours:
Another very troubling sign came late today.
Someone got their hands on WH talking points that had been sent to Republican journalists, pundits, and influencers. Thank you to
for getting me the link from an original post from that had a photo of said talking points:More importantly, it’s happening with a giant push in elite MAGA world hyping the justification of intervention and regime change in Iran.
Our old friend Tucker Carlson seems to think something is going to happen. Away from his studio shed since last he popped up on my radar, he seems to think something is up — and let’s not pretend that these idiots spread shit like a MAGA human centipede. I’m surprised one of these geniuses hasn’t faxed the nuclear codes to your mom.
For days now he’s been blasting the idea, saying it would end Trump’s presidency. And today he went after Ted Cruz pretty bigly when Cruz tried to justify invasion. This is the only clip I’ve seen, but Ted went to Harvard — and as much as he liked to keep that on the DL when he’s cosplaying Wolverine in Texas, basically calling him an idiot is no small thing.
I will say that infighting amongst these MAGA vultures is usually a good sign that Trump is moving in a direction that a chunk of them don’t like. If there have been reliable tea leaves in Trump World over the years it usually of the dick v dick variety.
There are also reports of a strike happening within 24 hours and Trump addressing the nation soon. This isn’t sourced — unnamed or otherwise — real reporting, but it isn’t kooks saying it either.
This all points to something much more real and serious.
Maybe it is a well-orchestrated distraction and military movements are just symbolic support for Israel. And while they can handle themselves (including their nuclear arsenal) it doesn’t all look good there with more and more Iranian rockets getting through their famous Iron Dome that might be overwhelmed.
I suspect we’ll get a cleared picture in the next day or so, but it takes about a second to imagine how this all goes very, very badly.
That’ll you for so often liking/restocking stuff I write. It’s really appreciated. 💙
